North Florida Happy Hour

Jax, we're coming to you!

We pointed the FIOP happy hour south back in June. Now it's North Florida's turn. On Wednesday, September 2, we're taking over a corner of Firebirds at St. Johns Town Center for a few hours. No panels. No PowerPoint. No agenda. Just I/O practitioners, academics, consultants, and the I/O-curious in one room, talking shop and everything else.

Food and drinks are on your own tab. FIOP brings the people and the energy; Firebirds brings the wood-fired kitchen and the bar. Order what you want, when you want it, whether that's a cocktail, a Diet Coke, or the good appetizers.

Firebirds has a happy hour menu going while we're there, so there's plenty to work with.

FIOP Members are invited to register for the 2026 Global Work and Organizational Psychology (G-WOP) Career Fair, held alongside the G-WOP Global Conference and delivered in collaboration with more than 20 professional work, industrial, organizational, and occupational psychology societies and governing bodies worldwide.

The career fair takes place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, running from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time.

This is a chance to connect directly with organizations from across the global work and organizational psychology community. Whether you're exploring new opportunities, building your professional network, or taking the next step in your career, the fair brings employers and job seekers together in one place.

2026 Global Work and Organizational Psychology (G-WOP) Conference (September 17, 2026)

Members are invited to register for the second Global Work and Organizational Psychology (G-WOP) Conference, an annual initiative delivered in collaboration with more than 20 professional work, industrial, organizational, and occupational psychology societies and governing bodies worldwide.

The conference starts at 8 AM Eastern Time on Thursday 17th September 2026 and will run a continuous single stream for 24 hours.

The conference brings together psychologists, researchers, practitioners, educators, and students from across the global community for 24 hours of connection, learning, and collaboration. As the world of work continues to evolve, presenting both new opportunities and complex challenges, G-WOP provides a unique opportunity to share ideas, learn from international perspectives, and strengthen the global profession.

The conference will take place in a unique virtual format, with a continuous 24-hour program spanning multiple time zones. This approach enables colleagues around the world to participate at times that are convenient for them, while all sessions will be recorded and made available to members of participating organizations after the event.
