Dr. Carnot Nelson is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of South Florida. He joined USF in 1971 and served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Associate Chair of the Psychology Department and Acting Associate Dean of USF-Ft. Myers. He received a Fulbright Senior Lectureship in 2006 -2007 and taught at both Hacettepe and Middle East Technical University in Ankara Turkey. Subsequent to his Fulbright he was a Visiting Professor in 2009-2010, 2011- 2015 at Bilkent University in Ankara Turkey and served as Acting Chair of the Psychology Department in 2013-2015. In 2019 he was a Fulbright Specialist sat Sol Plaajte University in Kimberley south Africa.
He is the author of over 60 peer reviewed journal articles over 100 professional meeting presentations and a Fellow of both the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society. He has served on the editorial boards as a reviewer for a number of scholarly journals. His current research interests include cross-cultural industrial organizational psychology, emotional labor, paternalistic leadership, Machiavellianism and program evaluation.
Dr. Richard Vosburgh has 30 years of post-Ph.D. experience in many highly respected organizations. He retired from KEMET Electronics Corporation June 2014 as SVP-HR and Chief HR Officer after 3+ years in Fort Lauderdale with the company. KEMET is a global capacitor organization with close to $1B in sales and 10,000 employees; with a mission to help make the world a better, safer, more connected place to live. Previously Richard was SVP-HR for Mirage Resorts within MGM MIRAGE (2006-2008) in Las Vegas, covering nine resort casinos and 37,000 employees. He had HR responsibility for the strategies, systems and processes to open CityCenter--the largest privately funded development in the US, adding over 10,000 jobs.
Dr. Vosburgh also worked for Compaq and HP as VP-HR, Asia Pacific in Singapore, with responsibility for the 14 Country HR managers and shared services HR support for the region. His team of 180 supported 34,000 employees across the four HP Business Groups. He chaired the Region HR Council and sat on the Asia Pacific Leadership Team. During the merger he was VP-HR for the Americas enterprise group; and before that, VP-HR for Compaq North America ($15B revenue & 15,000 employees). He has also worked outside of HR: In sales and marketing while in Germany with Volkswagen as the executive leading Customer Satisfaction for the worldwide dealership network; and then reporting to the President of The Gallup Organization, selling and servicing large global accounts for customer satisfaction measurement, talent assessment and employee satisfaction measurement, doing much of that work in Europe for SMART car dealerships.
Dr. Christina Banister is currently the Vice President of Organization & Talent Development at Raymond James. Throughout her career she has facilitated, managed, and led a wide range of projects within the talent management space, including job analysis, test development, engagement survey design and delivery, career pathing, performance management, competency modeling, and advanced human capital analytics. Dr. Bannister has also worked with organizations to leverage data to drive strategy and returns across HR COEs and other business areas for recruitment, career mobility, strategic workforce planning, and organizational culture. She has worked both within the U.S. and abroad.
Christina earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master’s in Industrial - Organizational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in I/O Psychology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
